Paige Mulhollan, Ph.D.

Board Chairman

Before retiring in 1994, Dr. Mulhollan was President of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He had previously served as a history professor and academic advisor at the University of Arkansas, Kansas State University, the University of Oklahoma, and Arizona State University.

He is currently the President of the Carolina Butterfly Society and President of the National Audubon Society, HH Chapter.

Christopher Andrews, Ph.D.

Born in Bath England, Dr. Andrews received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Leeds and a Ph.D. from the University of Liverpool. He was a fisheries scientist with the British equivalent of our Dept. of Natural Resources for eight years. He spent five years as curator of the Aquarium, Reptile House, and Insect House at the London Zoo. Dr. Andrews was Senior Director of Biological Programs at the National Aquarium in Baltimore prior to being named Executive Director of the SC Aquarium in 1997.

Mark Scriber, Ph.D.

Dr. Scriber has a distinguished background in education and research. He received a B.S. in Ecology and Systematics and a Ph.D. in Insect Ecology from Cornell University. Currently, he is Professor of Entomology at Michigan State University where he also served as Department Chairperson from 1986 to 1997. He had previously served as Professor of Entomology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Assistant Professor of Biology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Scriber has authored over 120 scientific publications.

George Stidworthy, Ph.D.

Dr. Stidworthy’s career in medicine and biochemistry was primarily spent initiating research while Professor of Biochemistry at Boston University School of Medicine, and as Chief of General Medial Research at Bedford MA’s and Oklahoma City’s Veterans hospitals. Dr. Stidworthy is on the Board of Directors of the National Audubon Society, HH Chapter and a member of the Sierra Club.


Craig Germain

Mr. Germain is a distinguished real estate visionary and entrepreneur, and holds a BBA degree from the University of Texas, an MBA from North Texas State University and took post-graduate studies at Harvard University. He has long been a creative advocate for education reform, having taught high school for several years, and having served with distinction on the Beaufort County School Board. Mr. Germain is also the holder of several high-tech patents.

Tina Webb

Ms. Webb is a renowned high school chemistry teacher and Science Department Chair for Hilton Head Preparatory School on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. She has served as Chair and Vice Chair of the Advisory Council for the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, was President of the SC Association of Chemistry teachers, is the Coordinator of the SC Regional Science Fairs since 1995, won the Hilton Head High School Teacher of the Year award, and the Intel Excellence in Teaching award.

Thomas W. Vadeboncoeur

Mr. Vadeboncoeur is President and founder of Goodheart Resource, Inc a marketing and customer relationship consultancy with offices on Hilton Head Island and in London, England. Mr. Vadeboncoeur's marketing and sales management career spans more than threedecades with The Coca-Cola Company. He retired as Vice President, Customer Marketing Europe in 1998. Mr. Vadeboncoeur is a member of the Trade Advisory Boards of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) and the International Association of Retail Food Chains (CIES). He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

Linda Cunningham

Linda Cunningham is a passionate educator. For over a decade and a half she has been a mathematics teacher and administrator in the state of South Carolina currently serving as Assistant Principal of Hilton Head High School since 1998. In 1997, Ms. Cunningham was Hilton Head High School teacher of the year and was selected Beaufort County School District Teacher of the year. Ms. Cunningham is a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the National Educator's Association. She has an undergraduate degree from Clemson and a Masters from USC.
