Thank you!

Our website is aimed primarily at Smith County Butterflies, Moths and Birds, which we have personally photographed. It's literally an online Life List of the things we have photographed together.

We live in Tyler, TX and search for Butterflies and Birds in and around the Tyler area. In fact, most of the area we cover is in Smith County, TX.  One of our goals is to find all Butterflies listed for Smith County and, hopefully, identify previously unrecorded species. We have found unrecorded Butterfly & Moth species in 2007 -  (unrecorded in the BAMONA database) & we will find many more in 2008.

We hope to make this site more useful when looking information for specific areas, e.g., Smith County, or Scientific & Common name. We want to be specific in the data provided.   All photos are labeled with Scientific as well as Common Name.  A brief description includes date and location seen.  The "Where We Go" page has information about the areas we visit.  We want to help you by trying to provide some resources for Smith County; in part, because we had a difficult time finding it for ourselves.

View the photo galleries, on each page, to find the “when and where information" below each photo and use the "Where We Go" page and the Links page to learn more about the locations.

The SITEMAP page, shows a listing of all the species, so you can find a species more quickly.

We hope you enjoy the new site and we appreciate your feedback via E-mail

All subjects photographed are alive in their outdoor surroundings. We do not harm wildlife for photography purposes and we try to maintain the least disruptive measures while we take pictures and observe. It can however, be problematic, to keep from being disruptive. Human presence in itself, is disruptive, so we try to minimize that while we pursue our objectives.

We use Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 & 7.0 for Windows XP.

We use Microsoft Front Page 2002 for our web publishing.

Our Pages are designed for a screen size of 1024x768 for CRT's. We do not use LCD's so some photos may look different on your LCD Monitor.

If you are using Foxfire or some other 3rd. party browser and the pages do not load correctly, we apologize, but we have no need or reason to use any 3rd party browser and we will not be testing our pages for it. We only test for Microsoft IE 6.0 & 7.0
